Winter is my favorite season because of all the warm and comforting foods one can make and eat. A dessert I always bake when the temperature dips is a crumble. Crumbles require minimal prep, are easily baked and are full of comforting flavors.

If you love the scent of spices in your kitchen, and a low-fuss, instantly delicious dessert, this Gingerbread Pear Crumble recipe is just for you!

Pears

A fruit that pairs excellently with ginger and other spices. However, crumbles are versatile, and you can replace the pears with apples, blueberries, strawberries, pineapples, or other fruits as well. However, keep in mind that softer fruits like strawberries, cannot be baked for very long as they’ll turn to mush. So keep the temperature low if using those.

Serving

The crumble is delicious on its own but a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and some home-made caramel sauce over the warm crumble really elevates it to gourmet experience! I challenge you to stop at one bite!
