No cake dissolves me in my childhood like this Eggless Bakery Style Tutti Frutti Cake . It takes me back to those simple days and like a little girl, I still like to fight over its last slice.
I distinctly remember feeling butterflies in my stomach the moment I heard the words “Tutti Frutti” when I was a kid. There used to be a small local bakery at walking distance from our place. And, every Sunday, I would borrow some twenty rupees from my mom to go there and get a loaf of my beloved tutti frutti cake. If I tell you the truth, not much has changed till today, except that there’s no way we’re going to get a loaf at that price now. This memory is imprinted so deeply in my heart that it made me recreate the recipe and that innocent moment from childhood. Which is why I specifically call this the Bakery style tutti frutti cake.
