Healthier Mocha Oats Cake
A wholesome cake made with oats, ragi, and a hint of coffee — fudgy, chocolaty, and perfect for a healthier treat!
Recipe-Healthier Mocha Oats Cake
Ingredients
- Oil – 45 ml (3 tbsp)
- Milk – 100-120 ml (1⁄2 cup)
- Castor sugar – 65 grams (1⁄3 cup)
- Coffee powder – 2 tsp
- Oats flour – 80 grams
- Ragi flour – 20 grams
- Baking powder – 3⁄4 tsp
- Cocoa powder – 10 grams (1 tbsp)
- Chocolate chips – as needed
Instructions
- Add instant coffee powder to warm milk and allow the coffee to dissolve.
- Add sugar and oil and whisk everything well.
- Add oats flour. You can make this at home by grinding instant oats into a fine powder.
- Add ragi flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and combine everything.
- Add chocolate chips for good measure.
- Bake until a skewer comes out clean.
- Optionally, top the cake with melted chocolate mixed with chopped roasted almonds.
- Cut yourself a slice and enjoy!
