Ingredients
Butter – 28 grams
Brown sugar – 40 grams
Dates pulp – 1/4 cup
Flour – 140 grams
Milk powder – 1 tbsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
Milk – quantity sufficient
Walnuts – 15 grams
For Dates Pulp
Seedless dates – 20 grams
Warm water – 180–200 grams
Instructions
- In a bowl, add butter and brown sugar and whisk together.
- Add dates pulp and mix well.
- Add flour, milk powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Then add walnuts.
- Adjust milk quantity accordingly to form a soft dough.
- Bake at 160°C for 10 minutes.
- For dates pulp:
- Soak 20 grams of seedless dates in 180–200 grams of warm water for half an hour.
- Blend the softened dates to form a smooth paste.
Notes
Serving suggestion – Pair with a cup of masala chai or coffee for a cozy, naturally sweet snack.
Storage – Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Tip – Toast the walnuts lightly before adding for an extra nutty crunch.
