Festive Grazing Platters & Boxes
About Course
Grazing platters and boxes are one of the most in-demand festive products right now. If they’re not on your menu yet, you could be missing out on a huge festive opportunity.
From intimate gatherings and Diwali parties to festive gifting and corporate orders, customers are looking for food that doesn’t just taste good — it needs to look spectacular too.
And grazing platters and boxes tick all the boxes.
They’re abundant, aesthetic, customisable, giftable and perfect for sharing. They can be adapted across occasions, price points and themes — making them an incredibly exciting addition to a home baker or home chef’s festive menu.
But putting together a professional-looking grazing platter takes more than arranging a few cheeses, dips, crackers and fruits on a board.
How many components should you use?
Which colours work together?
How do you balance sweet, savoury, fresh and crunchy?
What goes where?
How do you make a platter look abundant without making it look cluttered?
And how do you take that same idea and turn it into a polished, sellable box?
That’s exactly what we’re going to teach you in the Festive Grazing Platters & Boxes Workshop.
You’ll learn the foundations of creating beautiful, well-balanced grazing platters – while also learning a collection of flavoured cheeses, dips, toppings and accompaniments that you can mix, match and adapt to create your own signature platters and boxes.
We’ll build three completely different themes — Summer, Diwali and Evening / Cocktail — so you can see how colours, flavours, components and presentation change with the occasion.
But the goal isn’t to teach you just three platters.
It’s to teach you a system you can use to create dozens of your own.
So whether you want to add grazing platters to your festive menu, create premium gifting and corporate boxes, or simply learn how to put together spectacular spreads for your own celebrations — you’ll leave with the recipes, techniques and building blocks to do it confidently.

This Is More Than A Recipe Class
Great cheeses and dips are only part of what makes a grazing platter work.
The real skill is knowing how to bring everything together.
In this workshop, we’ll break down the foundations of grazing so you understand how to plan a spread before you even begin assembling it.
You’ll learn how to think about:
- Choosing the right number and variety of components
- Building a colour palette that works for your theme
- Balancing cheeses, dips, breads, crackers, fruits, vegetables, nuts and accompaniments
- Combining different flavours, textures, shapes and heights
- Understanding placement and visual balance
- How to make a platter look abundant without looking cluttered
- Using garnishes and finishing elements effectively
- Choosing components according to the occasion and audience
- Translating a platter into a beautiful curated box
- Taking one basic framework and adapting it for completely different themes
Because we don’t want you to leave class knowing how to copy three platters.
We want you to be able to look at an empty board or box and know exactly how to start building your own.
Three Themes. Three Completely Different Looks. One Repeatable Approach.
During the workshop, we’ll create three distinct grazing styles so you can see how the same foundations can be adapted for completely different occasions.
☀️ Summer Platter
Fresh, colourful and relaxed.
Think vibrant fruits, herbs, lighter flavours and refreshing accompaniments brought together for brunches, daytime celebrations and easy entertaining.
🪔 Diwali Platter
Traditional festive flavours, reimagined in a modern grazing format.
We’ll bring together Indian-inspired cheeses, chutneys, spices, nuts and festive details to create a platter that feels celebratory while still looking contemporary.
A beautiful starting point for festive menus, Diwali entertaining and gifting.
🥂 Evening / Cocktail Platter
Elegant. Bold. Made for sharing.
Think stronger flavours, interesting textures and easy-to-enjoy bites brought together into a sophisticated spread for cocktail evenings, parties and celebrations.
And once you understand why each of these platters works, you can take the same principles and create your own versions for Christmas, birthdays, brunches, weddings, baby showers, corporate events, festive gifting and so much more.
And Of Course, We’re Making Some Delicious Things Too
100% vegetarian & eggless
Along with learning how to build your platters and boxes, we’ll make a selection of flavoured cheeses and dips designed to give your spreads character, colour, and flavour.
Flavoured Cheeses
- Tandoori Mushroom Cheese — A bold, savoury Indian-inspired cheese perfect for festive spreads.
- Cheddar Chutney Cheese — Familiar Indian flavours paired with cheddar for an easy crowd-pleaser.
- Jalapeño Corn Cheese — Creamy, savoury, and slightly spicy; perfect for contemporary platters.
- Berry Balsamic Cheese — A sweeter, colourful cheese that brings contrast to the savoury components around it.
Dips & Finishes
You’ll also learn Loaded Hummus and a Whipped Feta Dip, and see how toppings and finishes can transform the same base.
We’ll work with combinations including:
- Blistered Tomatoes & Crunchy Almond
- Hot Honey Chilli Crisp
- Caramelised Onion & Curry Leaf
You don’t need twenty entirely different recipes to create twenty different-looking spreads. Learn to mix, match, and finish your components in ways that suit each theme.
Plus, Accompaniments to Complete Your Spreads
You’ll receive written recipes for:
Stuffed Dates · Marinated Olives · Chilli Oil · Spiced Nuts · Glazed Melon Skewers · Low-fat Cucumber Dill Sandwiches · Pickled Vegetables
These give you more elements to mix and match across your platters and boxes.
Please note: The accompaniment recipes will be included in your workshop notes but will not be demonstrated during the live class.
From Grazing Platters to Beautiful Gifting Boxes
A great grazing concept doesn’t have to stay on a platter.
We’ll also show you how to take the same thinking and translate it into curated boxes for festive gifting, corporate orders and special occasions.
You’ll see how the assortment, colours, placement and presentation change when you move from a large open platter to a compact box — while still keeping everything cohesive and premium-looking.
For home bakers and food businesses, this gives you another way to use what you learn in class: one set of skills, multiple formats and many different occasions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is this a live workshop? What if I can’t attend live?
A. Yes. The workshop will be held live on Facebook on October 10th, 2026 at 11:00 AM IST.
The complete recording will remain available inside the private workshop Facebook group until October 10th, 2027. You can watch the recording at your convenience throughout your one-year access period.
Q. Is this primarily a recipe class or a platter-styling class?
A. It is both. Styling and assembly are a major part of this workshop.
You’ll learn flavoured cheeses, dips and finishes, but an important focus of the workshop is teaching you how to plan and build a grazing platter or box — including component selection, colours, flavours, placement, balance and presentation.
Q. What is the difference between this workshop and your previous Grazing Table class?
A. Our previous Grazing Table class focused on creating and styling a large-format grazing table for events and gatherings.
This is a completely new workshop with a different focus. Festive Grazing Platters & Boxes is designed around smaller, more practical and sellable formats — individual platters and curated boxes that can work for festive orders, gifting, corporate orders, parties and entertaining.
The recipes taught in this workshop are also new, with a much stronger focus on flavoured cheeses, dips, accompaniments and learning the foundations of building different styles of platters and boxes.
If you’ve attended our previous Grazing Table class, there is still plenty of new learning in this one.
Q. Will you teach us how to set up an entire grazing table?
A. No. This workshop specifically focuses on grazing platters and curated boxes, rather than large grazing tables for events.
We will, however, teach you the principles of colour, balance, component selection, placement and styling that make a grazing spread look cohesive and abundant. Many of these principles can naturally be applied when styling larger spreads too.
Q. What kind of cheeses will you be teaching? Are these hard cheeses?
A. The flavoured cheeses taught in this workshop are soft, spreadable cheeses designed specifically for grazing platters and boxes. We are not teaching aged or hard cheeses such as cheddar, gouda or parmesan from scratch.
We may use commercially available cheeses as ingredients or additional components while building our spreads, but the cheeses being made during the workshop are soft flavoured cheeses.
Q. Will you teach us how to make the cheese from scratch?
A. Yes! We’ll teach you how to make the base cheese from scratch, before showing you how to flavour and transform it into the different cheeses featured in the workshop.
Q. Do I need access to expensive or imported cheeses to recreate these platters?
A. No. One of the objectives of this workshop is to make grazing feel practical and achievable, especially for home chefs and bakers.
We’ll show you how to build beautiful spreads using a combination of the recipes taught in class and readily available components. You can always add premium or imported cheeses depending on your customer, occasion and price point, but they are not essential to creating a great-looking platter.
Q. Will you teach us exactly what components to put on a grazing platter?
A. We’ll show you exactly what goes into the three spreads created during class, but more importantly, we’ll teach you how to decide this for yourself.
You’ll learn how to think about the number of components, flavour balance, colour, texture, placement and the occasion you’re designing for.
The idea is not to give you one fixed formula that has to be copied every time — it is to help you confidently build your own combinations.
Q. Will you discuss portion sizes and how much food to put on a platter?
A. Yes. We’ll discuss how to think about quantities and the number of components depending on the size, purpose and format of your spread.
Q. Will you teach costing and pricing?
A. We’ll discuss the practical considerations involved in creating platters and boxes for sale, including how your choice and quantity of components affects your final product.
However, this is primarily a recipe, product-development and styling workshop, rather than a dedicated costing or business class.
Q. Will you share where to source the platters, boxes and other components used in class?
A. Wherever possible, relevant sourcing details and links for products used during the workshop will be shared with students.
You do not need to purchase the exact same platters, boxes or accessories we use. A major part of the learning is understanding the principles well enough to work with the packaging and products available to you.
Q. Do I need special equipment for this workshop?
A. No specialised professional equipment is required to get started.
We’ll use regular kitchen equipment for the recipes, along with platters, bowls, boxes and basic styling elements for assembly. Any specific requirements will be mentioned in your workshop notes.
Q. Can I use these ideas commercially and sell the platters and boxes I learn in class?
A. Yes. The workshop has been designed keeping home bakers and home chefs in mind, and you can use the recipes and concepts you learn to develop products for your own menu.
In fact, we encourage you to take the foundations taught in class and adapt the flavours, colours, components and presentation to develop a grazing style that feels like your own.
Q. Will these concepts only work for the festive season?
A. Not at all. We’re launching this class during the festive season because platters and curated boxes work particularly well for festive entertaining, gifting and corporate orders, but the skill itself is not seasonal.
The same foundations can be adapted for birthdays, brunches, anniversaries, Christmas, New Year, weddings, baby showers, cocktail parties and everyday entertaining throughout the year.
Make This Festive Season Your Most Beautiful One Yet.
Learn the recipes. Understand the styling. Master the building blocks.
And create grazing platters and boxes that you can adapt, customise and make entirely your own.
