Q. Is this workshop beginner friendly?
Yes. While the techniques are professional, the workshop is designed with detailed step-by-step explanations, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced bakers.
Q. What flours are used since the recipes are gluten-free?
The cakes primarily use jowar and oats along with smaller quantities of other locally available flours such as rice flour depending on the sponge and texture being created.
Q. Is xanthan gum used in the recipes?
No. We are not using xanthan gum in these recipes.
Q. Are any fancy or difficult-to-source ingredients used?
No. We’ve intentionally tried to keep the recipes approachable and practical for home bakers and small businesses.
Wherever we do use a specialty ingredient, we also discuss substitutes and alternate ingredient options wherever possible.
Q. Can these cakes be made vegan?
The sponge recipes primarily use milk, which can easily be replaced with soy milk to make the sponges vegan.
However, vegan frosting options will not be covered as part of this workshop.
Q. Are these cakes completely sugar-free?
Yes. The recipes are designed using monk fruit sweetener and do not use refined sugar, jaggery, honey, coconut sugar, or hidden sugar alternatives.
Q. Are these cakes diabetic-friendly?
The cakes are sugar-free and use alternative sweeteners, but individual dietary needs can vary. We always recommend customers consult their doctor if required.
Q. Will the cakes still feel soft and moist?
Absolutely. One of the biggest focuses of this workshop is teaching you how to achieve soft, moist, celebration-style cakes without maida or eggs.
Q. Is this workshop only for healthy baking?
No — the focus is on creating celebration cakes that happen to be gluten-free and sugar-free while still feeling indulgent, premium, and bakery-style.
